Management Team

Loucas Marangos is the CEO of TFI Markets and as such responsible for the overall operation and strategy. He has more than a decade of experience within the TFI group. Loucas was previously Managing Director, responsible for market and credit risk management. Prior to this role, he worked for the Corporate Division of the Bank of Cyprus managing a portfolio that included some of the banks largest clients. Loucas holds a BSc in Accounting & Finance from London School of Economics and an MBA from Imperial College London.

Maria Theodorou joined TFI as Chief Operating Officer in 2007. Maria was subsequently Head of Sales and Marketing before progressing to the overall role of the General Manager. Previously, Maria worked for more than 16 years for HSBC as a Senior Dealer and Treasurer. She was recognised as one of HSBC's Top 50 professionals at the time. She has vast experience of strategic development and proprietary trading and as such has provided investment guidance to large corporates and individuals alike. Maria is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in London.

Charis Charilaou has been with TFI since 2001 and his role as Managing Director sees him responsible for managing the overall Treasury Operation of the company. Previously Charis was the executive director of Altus Investments Ltd and worked for Arab Bank Plc as a Senior Dealer. He has over 13 years experience in the international financial markets and has been actively trading Foreign Exchange for the last 10 years. Charis holds a BA from the University of Essex in Accounting & Finance and an MSc in International Banking & Finance from the University of Southampton.

As a CFA charter holder Thanos has more than a decade of experience in several European financial institutions in high level management positions. However, it’s his latest role as a Chief Operating Officer at FxPro that brings unparallel insight to our Company in the new international arena. Thanos is also a Chartered Certified Accountant, a Certified Management Consultant and holds an MSc in International Securities Investment & Banking as well as a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance.

Melina Panagi is the Company’s CFO, with an overall responsibility of all the back office and accounting operations. Melina is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales & the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ICPAC) of Cyprus. From 2002 she worked as an auditor for PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC Cyprus) specializing in financial services clients, with secondments in PwC UK and Greece. Melina deals extensively with the Company’s budgeting, financial reporting, Basel reporting and is continuously updated on CySEC requirements.
